Supporting Children When It Matters Most.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, especially during the early years when development is most critical. My work focuses on supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by creating inclusive environments where every child feels valued, understood, and capable of reaching their full potential.

I bring a unique combination of experience as a Registered Nurse and trained Primary School Teacher, which allows me to support children from both an educational and developmental perspective. This background helps me understand not only how children learn, but also the health, emotional, and developmental factors that can affect their progress in school.

With professional training in primary education and classroom experience supporting diverse learners, I am passionate about helping children build strong foundations in learning, confidence, communication, and social development. I work closely with families and educators to provide practical strategies, supportive guidance, and thoughtful interventions tailored to each child’s individual needs.

My research focuses on trauma-informed teaching in inclusive education, specifically exploring primary teachers’ perceptions of trauma-informed practices in supporting SEND students in inclusive classrooms.
